LUSH Makes Its India Retail Debut in Delhi

Global beauty disruptor LUSH opens its first Indian store, bringing fresh, handmade and ethical cosmetics to the heart of New Delhi. 

Marking a significant moment for India’s conscious beauty landscape, LUSH has officially opened its first-ever retail store in India at Nexus Select Citywalk, New Delhi. The launch signals a landmark step in the brand’s India journey, bringing its globally recognised philosophy of fresh, handmade and cruelty-free cosmetics to Indian consumers through an immersive, sensorial retail experience. 

The store opening follows the successful launch of Lush.in in November last year and is facilitated through a strategic licensee agreement with Bilberry Brands India Private Limited. The partnership reflects a carefully planned entry into the Indian market, combining a direct-to-consumer approach with thoughtfully curated physical retail spaces. 

Vishal Anand, Founder and CEO of Bilberry Brands India Private Limited inaugurated the store, alongside Sophie Matheson, Senior Global Business Development Retail Manager, LUSH. Designed to reflect the brand’s playful, transparent and community-led ethos, the Delhi store introduces Indian shoppers to LUSH’s distinctive retail environment for the first time.

Speaking on the launch, Vishal Anand shared that bringing LUSH to India represents more than a commercial milestone. He described it as the beginning of a movement rooted in freshness, ethics and conscious beauty, noting the growing demand among Indian consumers for authenticity, transparency and responsibly made products. The Delhi store, he emphasised, is the first step in building LUSH in India with long-term integrity and purpose. 

Echoing this sentiment, Sophie Matheson mentions that a LUSH store is a creative and experiential space rather than a conventional retail outlet. The new store offers a comprehensive range of globally loved products across skin and hair care, bath and body, and fragrance, while fostering a local community that aligns with LUSH’s values of sustainability and inclusivity. 

What lies ahead

Indian consumers will now have access to iconic innovations such as fresh face masks, solid shampoo bars, seasonal limited editions, and the brand’s legendary bath bombs first invented by Co-Founder Mo Constantine in 1989 and now a global phenomenon. 

With additional stores also planned in Mumbai and Bengaluru, LUSH’s India debut at Nexus Select Citywalk marks the beginning of a strong omni-channel expansion, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to building conscious beauty experiences in one of the world’s most dynamic markets.
