Sandra Siansiam Koch gets you an insight into the industry legend Samir Srivastav ‘s second innings as CEO of Looks Salon.
Samir Srivastav, an industry veteran with leadership positions at JCB, VLCC, Kaya, and Marico, has done it yet again. Looks Salon India has finally made the official announcement of Samir Srivastav’s appointment as CEO on Tuesday.
Samir has extensive industry experience of 22 years, including most recently as CEO of Jean-Claude Biguine Salon, he is an obvious fit.
Samir is truly very happy to join the family at Looks and moreover, applauds their business, as he states “Look at the journey, how it has started from a barber shop and today, 190 luxury salons in 51 cities, and wonderfully run by the family. It’s something which is a wonderful achievement.”
He further added, “Looks Salon is a strong brand in North India with strong market leaders in Delhi. Now, they want to establish the same thing in the rest of India as well”.
“The more I interact with the family, the more I see the wonderful things which are being done. Whether it is for the franchise and partner businesses, whether it’s for the four sub-brands of the Looks, whether it is for the entire salon factory which is the private label, or marketing, or unique things like having the first salon in terminal 3 in Delhi. These are some very unique achievements for the brand,” he says.
Along with the Looks family, Samir envisions to be India’s top luxury chain salons with over 500 outlets by 2026.
Samay Dutta, Managing Director of Looks Salon, truly believes Samir will be beneficial in understanding the growing markets. “Since Samir has worked with a lot of international brands, that will help us elevate the customer experience and establish a global presence of the brand. He also has a great understanding of the emerging markets in the North, East and South along with establishing, so these are the areas where the Looks Salon will also be expanding now.”
Samay also states that the expansion will accelerate in a really aggressive manner going forward with Samir on board.
