Solastaa Salon, a luxury premium salon chain, founded by three directors with distinct backgrounds and areas of expertise. Priyanka Parshurami, spoke to one of the Directors, Drishti Ramchandani. They discussed inspiration, vision and the way ahead of the salon chain.

With about 15 years of experience in the salon industry, Drishti has been at the helm of her career. She had worked in operations of Anjali Mukerjee’s Health Total, Enrich Salon, and Kapil’s Salon and Academy. During her tenure, she gained valuable knowledge and skills that have helped her create something unique in the salon industry. In 2021, she launched her own salon, ‘Solastaa’ reflecting her values and vision. It is a brand focused on exceptional service and using quality products.

About the brand – Solastaa:
The name Solastaa comes from the French word “solastre,” which means shining. We chose this name because we believe that everyone deserves to shine in their own unique way, and our salon is dedicated to helping our clients do just that.

We want to create a space where every client feels comfortable and confident, and where our team of skilled professionals can help bring out their inner radiance. So, when you visit Solastaa, we hope you feel like you’re not just getting a beauty treatment, but also a boost of confidence that helps you shine from within.
Inspiration behind starting a salon:
When I was working in the industry, I always took ownership and pride in my work. I dreamed of becoming an entrepreneur where I could use my own expertise to create a brand that truly stands out. The Brand which is more customer centric and employee centric. The motivation and inspiration behind starting my own brand was my desire to put the customer first.

I wanted to create a salon experience that was different from the rest, a space that was not just welcoming and relaxing, but one that was also focused on providing exceptional service to every client. I wanted to create a salon where clients could feel truly rejuvenated and cared for, and where the focus was on their well-being both inside and out where they feel value for money they spend.
That is why I started Solastaa, a brand that represents my vision and values for the salon industry.
Interiors of the Salon:

The vision behind planning the interior of all our salons is to create a calming and inviting atmosphere that encourages relaxation and self-care. Interior which gives a premium and luxury feel. We use soft lighting, and soothing colors to create a peaceful environment that helps our clients feel more comfortable and at ease.

Expansion plans for Solastaa:
Solastaa, which started its journey as a luxury premium salon in June 2021 already has 6 outlets in two metro cities i.e Mumbai and Bangalore.
And the upcoming projects for brand expansions include launching new salons in Mumbai, Pune and Hyderabad in the next year.
We are also exploring opportunities to expand internationally in the future.
