As the award season has officially begun, the beauty looks at the Golden Globe Awards 2024 set the tone for the award ceremonies to come. As the best of Hollywood A-listers walked down the red carpet, there was much more to them than the gorgeous gowns. The minimalist, subtle makeup looks that trended in 2023 still have an impact on our favourite celebs. And, yet many chose to play with colours and bold looks. Taylor Swift
Known for her quintessential red lips and bangs, Swift was spotted sporting flawless, muted makeup. With a bright and shining green dress, Swift carried off nude eyes with a subtle cat eye and nude lips. However, she did stick to her signature bangs.
Selena Gomez
The founder of Rare Beauty attended the awards in an asymmetrical red gown. Her in-vogue, neutral makeup seamlessly complimented the bold colour of the gown. She wore a pulled-back, sleek bun along with subtle yet shiny pink eyes, and neutral lips.
Lily Gladstone
The winner of the Best Actress– Drama Award, Gladstone wore a classic white gown. She pulled it off with a Renaissance-style braided bun. The voluminous top knot was created by celebrity stylist Marc Mena. As for makeup, she carried off pink eyes with subtle eyeliner accompanied by glossy, pink lips that added to the classic appeal of the look.
Emma Stone
Emma Stone wore one of the many minimalist beauty looks at the Golden Globe Awards 2024. The ‘Poor Things’ actress clubbed her golden gown with glittering eyes and mauve lips. She also complimented the glitz of her gown and makeup with a simple, straight bob.
Oprah Winfrey
Winfrey totally stood out from the prominent nude palette with a sequenced blue gown. Matching the gown were her eyes – in the same shade of blue, she added round glasses on top. She completed her look with neutral glossy lips and side-swept waves.
Erika Alexander
Alexander brought in some more colour to the red carpet. With a shimmery pink makeup look, she also sported a gorgeous multi-coloured, sculptural updo.
Margot Robbie
Robbie, the one who drove the Barbiecore aesthetic in the last year, wore a shiny pink dress. Her looks at the Golden Globe Awards were absolutely fresh. She paired her neutral eyes with light pink lips and let her hair flow free.
Jennifer Lawrence
The actress was the torch bearer of ‘quiet luxury’ looks at the Golden Globe Awards 2024. With a classic black gown, she wore neutral makeup and wore her blonde hair in a smooth texture and side-swept fashion.
