kdc/one and Clarion Group have announced a joint venture. The partnership will allow them to leverage complementary expertise and capabilities to develop a new manufacturing unit in Gujarat. Read along to know more.
Knowlton Development Corporation Inc (“kdc/one”) provides custom formulation, packing design and manufacturing solutions. They cater to several leading beauty, personal care as well as home care brands. On the other hand, the Clarion Group (“Clarion”), is a premier contract manufacturer of beauty and personal products,and decorative tin packaging. The two companies are now coming together in a strategic joint venture in the Indian market.
This agreement between the two giants will establish kdc/one Clarion Beauty Pvt Ltd. This will offer support to the growing Indian beauty and personal care industry and the brand owners therein. The partnership will offer brand owners best-in-class and cost-effective solutions in packaging, manufacturing, and formulations that enhance customer experience.
The agreement was signed by Sandra Wisniewski, Global President Beauty & Personal Care at kdc/one and K N Lakshmanan, Chairman of the Clarion Group, in Chennai, India.
The union of expertise and strength
The joint venture combines over 65 years of experience and expertise. It brings together the strengths of both companies in manufacturing and engineering. The partnership benefits from local knowledge of the Indian market and global industry credentials. It also includes advanced R&D, innovation, injection molding, and metallization expertise.
The collaboration will focus on packaging for colour cosmetics, skincare, and personal care. It will also blend Clarion’s local formulation expertise with kdc/one’s global innovation capabilities.
Within the next 12 months, the partnership will establish a new manufacturing facility in Gujarat, India. This facility will produce injection-molded and metallized beauty packaging.
