Skinora is an amalgamation of the words “skin” and “aura. It is a professional skincare range formulated in France that brings out your natural radiance. As a professional skincare brand, Skinora consistently delivers innovation, sustainability, and quality through its products. Now, the brand steps into a new era with Skinora 2.0. Presenting itself through an elemental framework, the brand aims to provide solutions to various skin issues using the four elements of nature.

With this new chapter, the brand also launches a retail segment aiming to provide users a full ethos of skincare, in salons and at home. As these monumental developments take shape in all their glory, let’s learn more about them.

Market leadership in India’s growing beauty landscape

The Indian skincare market has experienced remarkable growth. The valuation stands at USD 8.93 billion in 2024 and is projected to expand to USD 16.85 billion by 2031. That represents a robust growth at 9.50% CAGR. Within this thriving ecosystem, the vegan cosmetics segment demonstrates exceptional momentum. India’s vegan beauty market is generating USD 586.3 million in 2022. It’s likely to reach USD 1,202.6 million by 2030, maintaining a strong 9.4% growth trajectory.

Revolutionary elemental innovation technology

Skinora 2.0 differentiates itself through its elemental framework that provides targeted solutions for various skin needs incorporating the essence of 4 key elements.

Fire element: cellular activation and circulation

Fire-based formulations focus on stimulating cellular activity and enhancing product absorption. These innovative ingredients boost microcirculation, promote beneficial skin warming effects, and support natural cellular renewal processes. The fire element proves particularly effective for addressing dull complexions and restoring overall skin vitality.

Earth element: deep nourishment and stability

Earth-inspired products emphasise mineral-rich compositions and premium botanical ingredients that deliver essential nutrients for optimal skin health. This element provides consistent nourishment through naturally-derived compounds that support long-term healthy skin.

Water element: advanced hydration and barrier protection

Water formulations prioritise cutting-edge hydration technologies, incorporating hyaluronic acid complexes and advanced moisture-retaining compounds. These products maintain optimal hydration levels while supporting the skin’s natural barrier function and promoting healthy cellular regeneration.

Air element: oxygenation and purification

Air composition targets essential oxygenation and detoxification processes crucial for healthy skin function. These specialised formulations support natural circulation, assist in toxin elimination, and help maintain optimal cellular oxygen levels. It is particularly beneficial for urban skin exposed to environmental stressors.

PBI asked Ankit Virmani & Subham Virmani, Directors, Esskay Beauty Resources what inspired the change in brand identity. We also asked them how they plan to position Skinora with a revamped identity, especially on social media?

They said, “The shift from ‘True to Your Skin’ to ‘Elemental Beauty’ was inspired by our customers’ evolving needs for more holistic, nature-connected skincare. Post-pandemic, we noticed beauty professionals and their clients seeking deeper wellness integration—not just surface-level results but treatments that resonate with natural harmony. The four elements framework allows us to offer personalised solutions while maintaining our French formulation heritage intact.”

They added, “On social media, our strategy focuses on educational content around elemental skin analysis, and real salon transformations. We’re moving away from generic beauty posts to content that empowers beauty professionals with knowledge, because informed professionals create loyal clients.”

We also enquired, if the overhaul in brand identity comes with any other pivots for the brand? They responded saying, “Absolutely. The rebrand signals our evolution from a product supplier to a comprehensive beauty ecosystem partner. This means enhanced training programs and personalised salon support systems. We’re also introducing a new range of take-home maintenance products, to complete the skincare regime, allowing salons to extend their professional treatments beyond the salon visit. The nano-encapsulation technology we’ve perfected for professionals is now also accessible for at-home care, creating recurring revenue streams for our salon partners.”

Advanced nano-encapsulation technology

Skinora 2.0 incorporates French nano-encapsulation technology to enhance ingredient stability and delivery effectiveness. The technology maximises ingredient bioavailability and extends product efficacy throughout application periods, maintaining ingredient integrity, ensuring they are delivered effectively into the deepest layer of the skin.

Comprehensive vegan and sustainability standards

All Skinora 2.0 products maintain 100% vegan certification, aligning perfectly with growing consumer demand for ethical beauty products. The brand implements comprehensive sustainability practices including responsible sourcing protocols, eco-friendly packaging solutions, and transparent ingredient disclosure. The brand’s commitment to being cruelty-free and free of harmful chemicals reflects their dedication to both ethical beauty practices and professional-grade results that beauty practitioners can trust.

The new retail segment

To help the users have a complete skincare regime and maintain the results of salon treatments at home, Skinora has also launched a retail segment. Speaking about the inspiration behind the launch, the directors said, “The new range of retail emerged from salon owners asking for skin care products their clients could purchase to maintain a complete skincare ritual at home.  Our retail products offer professional-grade formulations in user-friendly packaging with USP of ‘Professional-to-Personal’ care. Clients aren’t just buying skincare; they’re taking home a customised elemental beauty routine designed by their trusted beauty professional.”

The future of professional skincare

This evolution towards more sophisticated yet accessible skincare solutions positions French-formulated products like Skinora 2.0 to exceed growing consumer expectations for both effectiveness and responsibility in professional beauty choices. By harmonising innovation, sustainability, and natural origin, Skinora continues to set new standards in the professional beauty industry.

Commenting on the five-year vision, the directors say, “By 2030, we envision Skinora as the definitive elemental beauty authority across South Asia and select international markets. Our roadmap includes launching Beauty Academy for certifications, expanding our R&D partnerships, and introducing sustainable refill programs. Success for us isn’t just revenue growth — it’s creating a new category of conscious, knowledge-based beauty professionals who elevate the entire industry standard.”
