Toni&Guy Salon, an iconic British superbrand, and an international fashion and style leader opens its 400th outlet in South India. Priyanka Parshurami caught up with Blessing A Manikandan, CEO, Toni&Guy to get insights on the brand’s future roadmaps.
Toni&Guy, an iconic British superbrand salon with 60 years of legacy, has achieved the 400 mark in South India. With success and philosophy rooted firmly in education, Toni&Guy is known for creating innovative, globally renowned hairdressing knowledge. The story of the brand began with the vision and ambition of two brothers. Today, the company is a home to thousands of the world’s most talented and award-winning hairdressers. The recent one being the winner of British Hairdresser Awards 2022, Cos Sakkas.
Like other salons, Toni&Guy believes that customers are always right. It also strongly believes in ensuring the quality check of the services across all their outlets. By taking every feedback seriously and addressing it on priority. This ensures the customer comes back to the salon for their future services.
Every staff including the franchise business development, operations team, salon manager, hairdresser, beautician have to undergo the training. Provided by both the company trainers and the product company trainers,” says Blessing A Manikandan.
He further adds, “Hairdressers should have a mandate to get trained at the learning hub. And at the academy before they take clients. We also have scheduled and special in-salon training programmes. To assess, retrain, upskill and address the skill set gaps, if any.”

Toni&Guy UK is very keen in ensuring the education, training and quality by following guidelines carefully. The brand already has 65+ projects in the pipeline, and by the end of 2023 plans to cross 500 outlets. They also ensure that there will be a Toni&Guy salon in every state and district of India.
