This summer, get classy yet effortless hairstyles from the talented Zingranwon Shatsang, Celebrity Hairdresser, Zido Salon, who shares two of her favourite summer hairdos for a simple yet stylish look.
Hairstyles and trims have a way of surprising us as the trends are ever-evolving and expanding. Moreover, Zing currently predicts that mullet hairdos are going to be very popular during this summer of 2023. “We are living in an age of expressionism, and mullets are going to appeal to a lot of strong personalities,” she says. “I also see feminine yet strong being translated in the form of French bobs & long hair with minimal layers for 2023. Both of these are styles that are recommended for those who want amazing looking hair with minimum styling needed.”
When asked what makes these particular hairdos her ‘go-to favourite’, she says, “Summer for me means sunshine & vibrant days ahead, so I opt for weather friendly hairstyles with an air of mischief.”

1. Scrunched Hair
I love scrunching hair styles in summer. For people with curly/wavy hair, it is super simple.
- First, wash the hair thoroughly.
- Next, apply a suitable curl leave-in conditioner on wet hair.
- Comb through the hair with a wide tooth comb.
- Next is to apply a curly hair gel and scrunch up the hair from ends towards the roots.
- Leave it to either air dry or diffuse dry.
- Pro-tip: do not run your fingers through your hair once it’s dry.
2. Messy Buns
- Tie a rough ponytail.
- Loosely braid the ponytail.
- Secure the ends with a fine elastic band.
- Wrap the braided ponytail in a circle, around the base of the ponytail.
- Secure with a Bob pin or a chopstick pin.
- Pull out random wisps of hair around the face and you are ready to go.
