A summer bridal look should be light, fresh, and romantic. Sandeep Shrestha, Center Head, Make-Up Studio Training Center, gives us a step-by-step low down about the summer special – dewy bridal makeup.
In the summer, the heat and humidity can cause heavy makeup to melt and feel uncomfortable. As a result, summer bridal makeup tends to be lighter and more natural-looking. Tinted moisturisers, BB creams, and lightweight foundations are few of the popular choices. Hence, Priyanka Parshurami, from Professional Beauty India, caught up with Sandeep Shrestha to get an insight on Summer Special – Dewy Bridal Makeup, which will ensure the bride looks fresh and glowing.
Here’s the step-by-step excerpt from the interview with Sandeep Shrestha:
Eyes:
- Will be using a Brazilian eye makeup technique. Which will make the eyes look bigger.
- We start with cream eyeliner, which is a cream based product and can be used as eyeliner as well as your eyeshadow base.
- As we will be creating smokey eyes, start with the eye cream eyeliner, black colour.
- Then apply a primer at the inner corner of the eyes.
- Followed by applying a very bright colour at the center and at the inner corner.
- Then to give a definition to the eyes, we will use smudge proof eyeliner. This eyeliner can also help in changing the eye shape of the person from the sides.
- We will then apply Mascara from Make-up Studio
- And but not the least, use fake eyelashes.
Face:
- Since we want to have a dewy look, we will use shimmer effect, a liquid base product from Make-up Studio
- We will use the champagne shade of the shimmer effect.
- This has to be applied all over the face including the hiding areas
- Post the shimmer effect, we will use the 24 hours moisturising cream.
- Followed by a base category primer for the long lasting makeup
- Then we will use the EP058 from Make-up Studio concealer to camouflage the base
- Post that we will use a high definition foundation which will also help in concealing make-up imperfections.
- Then use the contouring and highlighting for face features
- Patted by loose powder. We will use number one powder as it works on all skin tones
Lips:
- For lips we will be using blood red colour to give the final bridal look
- It will be a bullet lipstick from Make-up Studio.
Remember, the key to achieving dewy bridal makeup is to focus on enhancing your skin’s natural radiance rather than covering it up.
